These studies confirm the need for a new demographic strategy in Hungary. The Demographic Section of the Hungarian Economic Association (HEA) will organise a round table discussion on this topic <strong>on Tuesday 9 January 2024, 10.00<\/strong> am on Webex and on the HEA YouTube channel.<\/p>\n<p>The speakers &#8211; demographer <strong>P\u00e1l P\u00e9ter T\u00f3th<\/strong>, philosopher <strong>J\u00e1nos T\u00f3th I.<\/strong>, habilitated associate professor at the University of Szeged and publicist <strong>J\u00e1nos Reichert<\/strong> &#8211; will seek answers to questions such as whether demographic targets are necessary and realistic; whether there is a chance of achieving the three-child family model; and whether it is possible to achieve a demographic turnaround with existing instruments.
