The event is part of a year-long series of conferences, in the framework of which HEA &#8211; in cooperation with a number of professional partner organisations &#8211; will review the experiences and achievements of Hungary&#8217;s two decades of EU membership.<\/p>\n<p>In his introductory speech, <strong>Tam\u00e1s Is\u00e9py<\/strong>, Head of the Macroeconomic Division of Sz\u00e1zadv\u00e9g Konjunkt\u00farakutat\u00f3 Zrt., will give an economic overview of the results of regional development. This will be followed by a panel discussion with <strong>Tibor Navracsics<\/strong>, Minister of Regional Development and Public Administration; <strong>K\u00e1roly Szita<\/strong>, Mayor of Kaposv\u00e1r;<strong> Zolt\u00e1n G\u00e1l<\/strong>, development policy researcher and university professor; and <strong>Zolt\u00e1n Gyenes<\/strong>, economist and economic analyst at the European Commission. The discussion will be moderated by <strong>Bal\u00e1zs Szepesi<\/strong>, Head of the School of Economics at Mathias Corvinus Collegium. Finally, <strong>G\u00e1bor Schultz<\/strong>, Head of the Rural Development Division of Sz\u00e1zadv\u00e9g Konjunkt\u00farakutat\u00f3 Zrt., will give the closing presentation on the interrelations between regional development and rurality. The participants will be welcomed by <strong>Etele Bar\u00e1th<\/strong>, former Minister for European Affairs and President of the Development Policy Section of the HEA. Closing remarks will be made by <strong>Kinga Kenyeres<\/strong>, CEO of Sz\u00e1zadv\u00e9g Konjunkt\u00farakutat\u00f3.<\/p>\n<p><em>The event is free to attend, but registration is required in advance due to the capacity of the room.
