The Hungarian Economic Association (HEA) and the Fiscal Council (FC) will hold their traditional joint autumn conference on Tuesday, 26 November 2024, from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. at the L\u00e1mfalussy Conference Centre of the Magyar Nemzeti Bank. The event will be streamed live on the HEA’s YouTube channel.<\/p>\n
The conference will open with a panel discussion with G\u00e1bor Horv\u00e1th, President of the Fiscal Council; Mojm\u00edr Hampl, President of the Czech Fiscal Council (N\u00e1rodn\u00ed rozpo\u010dtov\u00e1 rada) and Daniel D\u0103ianu, President of the Romanian Fiscal Council (Consiliul Fiscal Rom\u00e2nia). The panel discussion will be moderated by Gyula Pleschinger, President of the HEA and member of the Monetary Council.<\/p>\n
In the afternoon block of the conference – as is now a tradition – studies prepared for FC will be presented by the leaders, leading analysts and experts of the most renowned Hungarian research institutions, including Gyula Zolt\u00e1n Pulay, Chief Economist of the State Audit Office of Hungary; Gergely Baksay, Executive Director of the MNB, responsible for economic and budgetary analysis and statistics, and President of the Competitiveness Section of HEA; Tam\u00e1s Is\u00e9py, Director of the Hungarian Economic Research Institute Zrt.; P\u00e1l Bely\u00f3, Head of the Macroeconomics Division of ECO-VISTA Kft.; \u00c9va Pal\u00f3cz, Managing Director of Kopint-T\u00e1rk Zrt. and Vice-President of the HEA; Ilona Cserh\u00e1ti, Associate Professor at the Research Centre „Smarter Work for a Better Life” of the Corvinus University of Budapest; Katalin Szil\u00e1gyi, Chief Economist at Innovative Economic Solutions\/OG Research; Magdolna Csath, Professor, Research Professor at the Budapest Metropolitan University, Vice President of the Innovation Section of the HEA; D\u00e1niel Moln\u00e1r, Associate Professor at the Macronome Institute, Budapest; and Attila Udvardi, Director of GKI Gazdas\u00e1gkutat\u00f3 Zrt. The afternoon session will be chaired by G\u00e1bor Horv\u00e1th, President of the Fiscal Council.<\/p>\n
