Three Decades of Privatization"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In its March issue, Rubicon history magazine looks back on three decades of privatisation after the change of regime. Several members of the Hungarian Economic Association (HEA) are among the authors of articles in the thematic issue. To mark the occasion, the HEA is organising a round table discussion entitled <em><strong>Lost illusions? Three Decades of Privatization<\/strong><\/em> on <strong>Wednesday, 9 April 2025, from 14:00<\/strong> at the HEA Community Room (ELTE \u00c1JK Building B, 1053 Budapest, Kecskem\u00e9ti u. 10-12, 4th floor 403) and on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=531bWkbgSlU\">HEA&#8217;s YouTube channel<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Participants of the roundtable discussion are the authors of the thematic issue, <strong>P\u00e9ter \u00c1kos Bod<\/strong>, professor, former Governor of the Central Bank, Minister of Industry and Trade of the Antall government, Vice President of the HEA; <strong>Magdolna Csath<\/strong>, professor, Vice President of the Innovation Section of the HEA; <strong>Zolt\u00e1n Farkas<\/strong>, Editor of HVG; <strong>K\u00e1roly L\u00f3r\u00e1nt<\/strong>, Associate Professor at BME <em>(invited)<\/em> and <strong>P\u00e9ter Mih\u00e1lyi<\/strong>, Corresponding Member of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, Professor at Corvinus University of Budapest, Visiting Professor at the Central European University (CEU).<\/p>\n<p>The event will be available live on YouTube at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=531bWkbgSlU\"><strong>https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=531bWkbgSlU<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><em>The event is free of charge, but registration is required in advance due to the capacity of the room.
