{"id":16433,"date":"2025-06-25T16:44:22","date_gmt":"2025-06-25T14:44:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mkt.hu\/?p=16433"},"modified":"2025-06-25T17:34:07","modified_gmt":"2025-06-25T15:34:07","slug":"az-ortodoxia-vege-vagy-az-uj-normalitas-kezdete","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mkt.hu\/en\/2025\/06\/25\/az-ortodoxia-vege-vagy-az-uj-normalitas-kezdete\/","title":{"rendered":"End of orthodoxy or beginning of a new normal?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><em>Trump&#8217;s tariff policy and the redivision of the world \u2013 the end of orthodoxy or the beginning of a new normal? <\/em><\/strong>The Financial Section of the Hungarian Economic Association (HEA) is organizing a panel discussion with this title in cooperation with the MCC  on Thursday, July 10, 2025, at 10 a.m. in the MCC Scruton community space (1113 Budapest, Tas vez\u00e9r utca 3-7) and on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=uVbhE7ZalwA\">HEA&#8217;s YouTube channel<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Participants in the roundtable discussion &#8211; <strong>Gyula Pleschinger<\/strong>, President of the HEA, former member of the Monetary Council of the Magyar Nemzeti Bank; <strong>Zolt\u00e1n Pog\u00e1tsa<\/strong>, Associate Professor at the University of Sopron, lecturer at ELTE and the University of Verona; <strong>G\u00e9za Sebesty\u00e9n<\/strong>, associate professor at BCE, head of the MCC Center for Economic Policy, and <strong>Barnab\u00e1s Vir\u00e1g<\/strong>, vice president of the Hungarian National Bank, member of the board of the MKT Competitiveness Section &#8211; will discuss, among other things, the possible economic effects of US customs policy and the transformation of the global financial architecture. The discussion will be moderated by <strong>P\u00e1l P\u00e9ter Kolozsi<\/strong>, Deputy CEO of the Government Debt Management Agency and chair of the MKT&#8217;s Finance Section.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The event will be streamed live on the Hungarian Economic Association&#8217;s YouTube channel <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=uVbhE7ZalwA\">at this link<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Due to the limited capacity of the venue, personal participation in the discussion requires.
