The Hungarian Economic Association (MKT)<\/strong> and the Fiscal Council (KT)<\/strong> will once again hold their traditional joint autumn conference on Monday, October 27, 2025, from 9:30 AM CET<\/strong> at the L\u00e1mfalussy Conference Center<\/strong> of the Magyar Nemzeti Bank<\/strong>, located at 55 Krisztina Boulevard, Budapest<\/strong>. The event will be broadcast live on the MKT YouTube channel<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the beginning of the conference, G\u00e1bor Horv\u00e1th<\/strong>, President of the Fiscal Council; Mojm\u00edr Hampl<\/strong>, President of the Czech Fiscal Council (N\u00e1rodn\u00ed rozpo\u010dtov\u00e1 rada<\/em>); Daniel D\u0103ianu<\/strong>, President of the Romanian Fiscal Council (Consiliul Fiscal Rom\u00e2nia<\/em>); and J\u00e1n T\u00f3th<\/strong>, President of the Slovak Fiscal Council (Rady pre rozpo\u010dtov\u00fa zodpovednos\u0165<\/em>), will share their insights with the audience. The panel discussion with the four fiscal council presidents will be moderated by Gyula Pleschinger<\/strong>, President of the Hungarian Economic Association. Following the panel discussion, P\u00e9ter \u00c1kos Bod<\/strong>, Emeritus Professor at Corvinus University of Budapest, former Governor of the Magyar Nemzeti Bank, and Vice President of the Hungarian Economic Association, will present the study of the Smarter Work for a Better Life Research Center at Corvinus University of Budapest. The roundtable of the fiscal council presidents will be conducted in English<\/strong>, with simultaneous interpretation<\/strong> provided at the venue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the afternoon session<\/strong> of the conference \u2013 as is now tradition<\/strong> \u2013 the heads, lead analysts, and experts of the most renowned Hungarian research institutes will present the studies prepared for the Fiscal Council<\/strong>, including (as planned): Gyula Zolt\u00e1n Pulay<\/strong>, Chief Economist of the State Audit Office; Gergely Baksay<\/strong>, Executive Director of the MNB and President of the MKT\u2019s Competitiveness Section; Tam\u00e1s Is\u00e9py<\/strong>, Head of the Macroeconomic Division at Sz\u00e1zadv\u00e9g Economic Research Co.; P\u00e1l Bely\u00f3<\/strong>, Managing Director of ECO-VISTA Ltd.; \u00c9va Pal\u00f3cz<\/strong>, CEO of Kopint-T\u00e1rki Co. and Vice President of the MKT; L\u00e1szl\u00f3 Moln\u00e1r<\/strong>, Lead Researcher at GKI Economic Research Co.; Katalin Szil\u00e1gyi<\/strong>, Division Head at Innovative Economic Solutions \/ OG Research; Magdolna Csath<\/strong>, University Professor and Vice President of the MKT\u2019s Innovation Section; D\u00e1niel Moln\u00e1r<\/strong>, Lead Analyst at the Economic Analysis Center of MGF\u00dc; and P\u00e9ter Halmai<\/strong>, academic and President of the MKT\u2019s Economic Policy and Theory Section.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
