In connection with this article, the Hungarian Economic Association (HEA) and Hitelint\u00e9zeti Szemle are organizing a panel discussion <strong>on Wednesday, 21 January 2026, starting at 2:00 p.m.<\/strong>, at the MNB Te\u00e1trum Conference Center (1054 Budapest, Szabads\u00e1g t\u00e9r 8\u20139.) and on the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=6kxZpE61W5A\">HEA YouTube channel<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At the beginning of the event, participants will be welcomed by <strong>Barnab\u00e1s Vir\u00e1g<\/strong>, chief advisor to the Governor of the MNB, Chair of the Editorial Board of Hitelint\u00e9zeti Szemle, and member of the Board of the HEA Competitiveness Section. This will be followed by a brief presentation by the authors outlining the main conclusions of their paper. The participants in the panel discussion following the introductory presentation will be: <strong>T\u00edmea V\u00e1rnai<\/strong>, economic advisor at the MNB; <strong>Zolt\u00e1n Pog\u00e1tsa<\/strong>, Associate Professor at the University of Sopron; and <strong>Istv\u00e1n Mad\u00e1r<\/strong>, lead analyst at Portfolio.hu and member of the HEA Board. The panel discussion will be moderated by <strong>Bal\u00e1zs Vonn\u00e1k<\/strong>, economic advisor at the MNB.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The discussion will be broadcast live on the MKT YouTube channel, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=6kxZpE61W5A\">at this link<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>In-person participation in the event \u2013 in view of the seating capacity of the venue \u2013 is subject to prior registration.
