The conference will take place <strong>on Thursday, 19 February 2026, starting at 10:00 a.m.<\/strong>, in the Ceremonial Hall of the MTA Headquarters (1051 Budapest, Sz\u00e9chenyi Istv\u00e1n t\u00e9r 9).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the morning session of the conference, current challenges and perspectives of European integration will be discussed, while the afternoon session will focus on industrial policy as a particularly complex and timely area of public policy. Among the speakers at the conference will be, among others, <strong>P\u00e9ter Halmai<\/strong>, Member of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences and President of the Department of Economic Policy and Economic Theory of the Hungarian Economic Association; <strong>L\u00e1szl\u00f3 Csaba<\/strong>, Member of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences;<strong> Zsolt Darvas<\/strong>, Senior Fellow at the Bruegel Institute; <strong>J\u00e1nos Martonyi<\/strong>, former Minister of Foreign Affairs; <strong>\u00c9va Voszka<\/strong>, Member of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences; and <strong>D\u00f3ra Gy\u0151rffy<\/strong>, Professor of Economics and member of the executive board of the Department of Economic Policy and Economic Theory of the Hungarian Economic Association.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The invitation to the event and the detailed program can be downloaded by clicking <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/mkt.hu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/EU_integracio_konferenciameghivo_20260219_.pdf\">here<\/a><\/strong> (PDF).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Participation in the conference is free of charge; however, due to the limited seating capacity of the venue, prior registration is required.
