{"id":17285,"date":"2026-02-25T18:20:52","date_gmt":"2026-02-25T17:20:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mkt.hu\/?p=17285"},"modified":"2026-02-25T18:24:58","modified_gmt":"2026-02-25T17:24:58","slug":"v4-ek-az-iparpolitika-uj-korszaka","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mkt.hu\/en\/2026\/02\/25\/v4-ek-az-iparpolitika-uj-korszaka\/","title":{"rendered":"V4: A New Era of Industrial Policy"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><em>A new era of industrial policy \u2013 what can we learn from the experiences of the V4?<\/em><\/strong> Under this title, the Industrial and Business Section of the Hungarian Economic Association (HEA) is organizing a roundtable discussion on <strong>Tuesday, April 14, 2026, from 3:00 p.m.<\/strong> at the HEA community space (ELTE \u00c1JK Building B, 1053 Budapest, Kecskem\u00e9ti u. 10\u201312., 4th floor, room 403) and on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=OazkqhYgKLU\">HEA YouTube channel<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The discussion on the industrial policy strategies of the countries of the Visegr\u00e1d Four will examine the motivations and policy instruments of industrial policy, building on the methodology and findings of the New Industrial Policy Observatory (NIPO 2.0) database, complemented by considerations of implementation effectiveness. The conversation will also pay special attention to how the individual steps taken by the countries of the Visegr\u00e1d Four fit into global industrial policy trends, and what competitiveness implications they may have for the countries of the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Participants in the discussion:<strong> Dorottya Szab\u00f3<\/strong>, researcher at the Enterprise Promotion Association; <strong>Tam\u00e1s Tibor Csontos<\/strong>, research assistant at the Institute of World Economics of the Centre for Economic and Regional Studies (KRTK) and the University of Szeged; and<strong> Filip Puzder<\/strong>, Senior Manager for Government Incentives at EY Magyarorsz\u00e1g. The discussion will be moderated by <strong>L\u00e1szl\u00f3 K\u00e1llay<\/strong>, Associate Professor at the Department of Entrepreneurship Development and Management of the Institute of Entrepreneurship and Innovation at Corvinus University of Budapest, and member of the Board of the HEA Industrial and Business Section.
