{"id":18116,"date":"2026-06-29T06:57:25","date_gmt":"2026-06-29T04:57:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mkt.hu\/?p=18116"},"modified":"2026-06-29T07:06:08","modified_gmt":"2026-06-29T05:06:08","slug":"programokban-gazdag-felevet-tart-az-mkt","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mkt.hu\/en\/2026\/06\/29\/programokban-gazdag-felevet-tart-az-mkt\/","title":{"rendered":"HEA: a programme-rich first half year"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Hungarian Economics Association wrapped up a programme-rich first half of the year: in the first six months alone, we organised no fewer than 64 professional events, conferences, lectures and roundtable discussions. <a href=\"https:\/\/mkt.hu\/en\/2026\/05\/22\/hegedus-evat-valasztotta-elnokeve-az-mkt\/\">HEA elected a new president and secretary-general<\/a>, and many of our sections and county organisations also held their leadership elections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We were active online as well: so far this year, 45 professional conference videos have been uploaded to our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/@magyarkozgazdasagitarsasag\/streams\">YouTube channel<\/a> \u2014 43 of which were live streams \u2014 and our <a href=\"https:\/\/open.spotify.com\/show\/16DRjq10Nn5XmZhtKATWm1?si=4ec12cc86d024097\">HEA podcast channel<\/a> has grown by around 40 audio episodes. We shared news about ourselves in more than 300 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/groups\/mktinfo\/\">Facebook posts<\/a> and some 230 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/groups\/13540246\/\">LinkedIn posts<\/a>, while the media covered our events in more than 150 substantive <a href=\"https:\/\/mkt.hu\/en\/hu\/sajto\/\">press reports<\/a>. As a new development, we are now using artificial intelligence to produce summaries of our more exciting professional programmes for our members and interested readers on our website.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">HEA is now going on its summer break \u2014 but the organisational work never stops! Preparations for the <a href=\"https:\/\/kozgazdasz-vandorgyules.blog.hu\/\">64th Itinerant Congress of Economists<\/a> are already well underway. This year, Eger will host the largest annual conference of the Hungarian economics profession on 10\u201311 September. In the coming weeks, we will be sharing information about the conference programme and planned sessions with our members on the conference website and in our newsletter. Registration is already open!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>We wish all our dear members, supporters and speakers a wonderful summer and a well-deserved rest!
