During the online election of officers, voting members also elected a new Section Secretary: this position will be held by <strong>Zs\u00f3fia Fekete-Frojimovics<\/strong>, Associate Professor at the Budapest University of Economics and Business, for the next three years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>S\u00e1ndor Kerekes<\/strong>, Professor Emeritus at Corvinus University of Budapest, has been elected Honorary Chair of the Environmental Economics Section. Based on the decision of the voting members, the following experts have been elected to the Section\u2019s Executive Board: <strong>Zs\u00f3fia Benedek<\/strong>, Senior Research Fellow at the Centre for Regional Studies of the E\u00f6tv\u00f6s Lor\u00e1nd Research Network (ELTE KRTK); <strong>M\u00e1ria Csutora<\/strong>, Professor at Corvinus University of Budapest and the Section\u2019s former President; <strong>G\u00e1bor Harangoz\u00f3<\/strong>, Professor at Corvinus University of Budapest and the Section\u2019s former Secretary; <strong>Eszter Torm\u00e1n\u00e9 Kov\u00e1cs<\/strong>, Professor at the Hungarian University of Agriculture and Life Sciences; and <strong>Gyula Zilahy<\/strong>, Professor at Corvinus University of Budapest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>We congratulate the newly elected members of the Environmental Economics Section\u2019s Executive Board and wish them every success in their work!<\/em><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Mih\u00e1ly Dombi, Senior Research Fellow at the Budapest University of Economics and Business, has been elected as the new Chair of the HEA Environmental Economics Section.
