The inaugural event of the series, entitled <em><strong>Central Banking in a Fragmented World<\/strong><\/em>, will be held on <strong>16\u201317 September 2026<\/strong> (Wednesday\u2013Thursday) at the MNB\u2019s Buda Centre (1013 Budapest, Krisztina krt. 55).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The conference will open with welcome addresses by <strong>Mih\u00e1ly Varga<\/strong>, Governor of the Magyar Nemzeti Bank, and <strong>Fatih Karahan<\/strong>, Governor of the Central Bank of the Republic of T\u00fcrkiye. Speakers at the two-day professional programme will include <strong>Min Soo Kwon<\/strong>, Deputy Governor of the Bank of Korea; <strong>Binur Zhalenov<\/strong>, Deputy Governor of the National Bank of Kazakhstan; <strong>Holly Fang<\/strong>, President of the Singapore FinTech Association; <strong>Barry Eichengreen<\/strong>, Professor of Economics at the University of California, Berkeley; and <strong>Jacob A. Frenkel<\/strong>, former Governor of the Bank of Israel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The detailed programme and further information are available on the event\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mnb.hu\/budapestfinancialsummit\"><strong>website<\/strong><\/a>, while the event will be livestreamed on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/@MagyarNemzetiBank\/videos\"><strong>MNB\u2019s YouTube channel<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>In-person attendance at the conference is strictly subject to prior registration.
