The establishment of the Paris based organisation was supported by the European Commission as well in order to standardise the extremely varied rules of deposit insurance across Europe.<\/p>\n<p>Andr\u00e1s Fekete-Gy\u0151r was managing director of the National Deposit Insurance Fund (NDIF) for several years.
