The event would take place on 28 March, 2019 in Budapest<\/strong> – in the auditorium of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences (9 Szechenyi Istvan square, Budapest distr. 5).<\/p>\n

The registration would start at 9:00 and the seminar would start at 9:45. Following the welcome speeches Professor Sergei Guriev<\/strong> (Chief Economist, EBRD) will deliver his keynote presentation on the global-EM-CEE economic situation and challenges.<\/em><\/p>\n

At 11.00 a.m. the keynote would then be followed by the panel of state secretaries<\/strong> to be moderated by Mr. Dan Bucsa<\/strong> (Chief CEE Economist, UniCredit, London). The participants of the panel will be the followings:
\nCzech Republic: Mr. Jan Klesla<\/strong> (Advisor to Deputy Minister, Ministry of Finance);
\nHungary: Mr. Gabor Gion<\/strong> (State Secretary, Ministry of Finance);
\nPoland: Mr. Leszek Skiba<\/strong> (Undersecretary of State, Ministry of Finance);
\nRomania: Ms. Diana Popescu<\/strong> (General Deputy Director, Treasury and Public Debt, Ministry of Finance);
\nSlovakia: Ms. Dana Meager<\/strong> (State Secretary, Ministry of Finance)<\/p>\n

After the lunch break, at 1:30 pm the panel of deputy governors of the central banks<\/strong> would take place. The panel would be moderated by Mr. Pasquale Diana<\/strong> (Chief CEE Economist Morgan Stanley, London).
\nThe participants will be the followings:
\nCzech Republic: Mr. Jakub Mateju<\/strong>\u00a0(Advisor to the Board, Czech National Bank)
\nHungary: Mr. Marton Nagy<\/strong> (Deputy Governor, National Bank of Hungary);
\nPoland: Ms. Anna Trzecinska<\/strong> (Deputy Governor, National Bank of Poland);
\nRomania: Mr. Liviu Voinea<\/strong> (Deputy Governor, National Bank of Romania );
\nSlovakia: Mr. Ludovit Odor<\/strong> (Deputy Governor, National Bank of Slovakia)<\/p>\n

The panellists would take questions also from the floor (via apps).<\/p>\n

The event will be open for the media and will be streamed.<\/p>\n
