Can We Take Back Control Over Our Own Money? This is the title of a roundtable discussion organized by the Financial Section of the Hungarian Economic Association (HEA) — in cooperation with the Institute for Economy and Competitiveness Research of the Ludovika University of Public Service — on the opportunities and risks of a sovereign national currency, to be held on December 3, 2025 (Wednesday) from 10:00 AM in the John Lukacs Lounge of the Annex Building of the University of Public Service (1083 Budapest, Ludovika tér 1.) and on the HEA’s YouTube channel.
Participants of the discussion: Gergely Szabó, economist, author of the book National Money; Gábor Kutasi, head of the Institute for Economy and Competitiveness Research of the University of Public Service, board member of the HEA Public Finance Section; and Pál Péter Kolozsi, Deputy CEO of the Government Debt Management Agency, president of the HEA Financial Section.
