Social Europe before and after Brexit is the title of a conference organised by the Labour Unit and the International Economy Unit of the Hungarian Economic Association (HEA). The event will start at 2 p.m. on Thursday, 16 November 2017 in the hall of the Budapest University of Economics (1055 Budapest, Markó utca 29-31).

Presenters: Iain Lindsay, ambassador of the United Kingdom to Hungary; Szabolcs Ferenc Takács, state secretary of the Prime Minister’s Office in charge of EU matters; László Andor, assistant professor and head of department at the Budapest Corvinus University, former member of the European Commission; Péter Balázs, lecturer of the Central European University, former member of the European Commission, deputy chairman of HAE (attendance not yet confirmed); Éva G. Lukács, senior lecturer at the Department of International Private Law and European Economic Law at the Faculty of Law of ELTE University; and György Greskovits, training program leader at the Milestone Institute. The conference will be moderated by Katalin Nagy, former counsellor of the Permanent Representation of Hungary to the European Union.
