Our partner organisation, the Hungarian Economic Association in Slovakia and the Faculty of Economics of János Selye University announced the 1st Assembly of Hungarian Economists in Slovakia intent on setting a tradition, hoped not only to promote professional consultation among Hungarian economists living in the Upland, but also to facilitate joint thinking among economists in the Carpathian Basin. The professional assembly called ‘The Carpathian Basin as an Economic Space’ will take place in the Conference Centre of the János Selye University on 14-15 June 2018.

The aim of the 1st Assembly of Hungarian Economists in Slovakia is to provide an overall picture of the economic situation, the resources as well as the globalisation of the regions situated in the Carpathian Basin, joining the processes of digitisation and Industry 4.0, as a basis for competitive visions in both corporate and regional strategic ideas.

The outcome of the conference and the delivered speeches will be summarised and published in a separate proofread volume.

Participation in the conference will be subject to a fee of 25 euros including Thursday’s reception, breakfast, lunch and accommodation in the hostel of the University. The participation fee without accommodation will be 17 euros.
