President of the Republic János Áder handed over a Széchenyi award to economics professor Béla Kádár, perennial honorary chairman of the Hungarian Economic Association, on 15 March.

Béla Kádár, ordinary member of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, received the award for internationally acclaimed research in the fields of economic and industrial development, international relations, and comparative economic policy. Professor Kádár specifically focused on historically delayed modernisation and on economic growth processes. Congratulations!
