The traditional joint conference of the Hungarian Economic Association and the Fiscal Council will be organized again this autumn. The speakers will present the background studies prepared for the Fiscal Council on Friday, 4 October 2019, from 9 a.m. in the Kossuth Club’s Grand Hall (1088 Budapest, Múzeum utca 7., 1st floor). In addition to reviewing the public finance processes the conference will address, among others, the possible fiscal impacts of the global economic prospects, labour market trends and current healthcare matters.

Apart from the experts of the National Bank of Hungary the invited speakers of the conference will include Éva Palócz, CEO of Kopint-Tárki Zrt., Vice President of the HEA; Pál Belyó, General Manager of ECO-VISTA Gazdasági Tanácsadó Kft.; Gábor Regős, Chief Economist of Századvég Gazdaságkutató Zrt.; Gábor Balás, General Manager of Hétfa Research Institute and Centre for Economic and Social Analysis; Judit Antal, Chief Economist, Innovatív Közgazdasági Megoldások Kft. and OG Research; Ilona Cserháti, Associate Professor of the Centre for Economic and Social Statistical Research and Analysis, Corvinus University of Budapest; József Simon, Chief Auditor, Project Manager of the State Audit Office; István Kónya, Scientific Advisor, ELKH KRTK KTI; and Tamás Bakó, Assistant Research Fellow, ELKH KRTK KTI. The conference will be chaired by Árpád Kovács, Chairman of the Fiscal Council and Lifetime Honorary President of the Hungarian Economic Association.
