Considering the risks and uncertainties resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic, the Board of the Hungarian Economic Association decided at its meeting of 25 June 2020 to postpone this year’s Itinerant Conference of Economists planned to take place in Szeged, the seat of Csongrád-Csanád County until next year, to 23-25 September 2021.
However, the members of the HEA and the interested professionals will not miss the event this year either: the 58th Itinerant Conference of Economists will be organised in the digital space, taking place on 24-25 September 2020. The morning plenary sessions will be streamed on both days (Thursday and Friday) involving high-level speakers as usual, followed by two interactive live panels planned for both afternoons. The thematic panels will be accessible via a mobile app, making it possible for members of the audience to join in. In addition, there will be a number of thematic sections with pre-recorded video materials accessible at the Conference website.
The preparation of the detailed programme has already started, and further information about the event will be provided shortly.
