Green finance will be the focus of the upcoming online event of the Responsible Corporate Governance Section of the Hungarian Economic Association on Wednesday, 25 November 2020 from 10 a.m. via Microsoft Teams. During the event Banks and Sustainability: New Challenges in Corporate Governance will be discussed by Csaba Kandrács, Deputy Governor of the MNB for financial supervision and consumer protection, followed by Richárd Végh, CEO of BÉT, President of the Section on The Green Finance Efforts of the Budapest Stock Exchange.

The event will double as an election of officials for the Responsible Corporate Governance Section of the HEA. The online voting to elect the new Board for the next 3-year term will be open for the section’s members. Based on the Articles of Association of the HEA eligibility to vote is subject to membership, as well as membership fees duly paid last year (2019) or this year (2020) with no outstanding obligation exceeding 12 months. The link to access the ballot forms will be sent to the eligible members by email before the event. Members will also be able to decide as to changing the name of the Responsible Corporate Governance Section to Sustainability Section.
