February 27, 2022, will be the centenary of birth of Sándor Kopátsy, one of Hungary’s best-known economists, who passed in 2020. On this occasion, the Hungarian Economic Association and the Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén County Organization of HEA will organize an online conference on the Webex and MKT YouTube channel on Tuesday, February 22, 2022, 14.00 p.m.
The two introductory lectures of the event will be given by Tamás Bánkuty, director of the Pallas Athéné Domus Meriti Foundation, editor of the Kopátsy book series published by Pallas Athéné Publishing House, and Zoltán Bartha, head of the Department of Economic Policy at the University of Miskolc. Afterwards, with the two lecturers and Éva Voszka, Member of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, László Asztalos, university professor and a member of the board of the Department of Socio-Economics of the HEA, talks about the legacy of Sándor Kopátsy. The participants will be greeted by Gyula Pleschinger, President of the Hungarian Economic Association, member of the Monetary Council of the MNB and Tamás Bihall, President of the Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén County Organization of HEA.
