Carat liquidity managers – the role of gold jewellery in household liquidity management. This was the title of a recent paper by Márton Gosztonyi and Dániel Havran in the Economic Review. To mark the publication of the article, the Hungarian Economic Association (HEA) and the Economic Review are organising a joint online professional event on Wednesday 9 March 2022 from 14:00 on Webex and on the HEA’s YouTube channel.
The event will start with a presentation by Márton Gosztonyi, Research Fellow at the Centre for Enterprise Development of the Budapest LAB of the Budapest University of Economics and Business and Dániel Havran, Associate Professor at the Institute of Finance, Accounting and Economic Law of the Corvinus University of Budapest, followed by a roundtable discussion moderated by László Asztalos, Professor of Economics and Business Administration, and Péter Koroknai, Head of the Macrofinance and External Balances Department of the Magyar Nemzeti Bank; Erzsébet Hajdu, Director of BÁV Auction House and Pledge Credit Zrt. and Gergely Juhász, CEO of Conclude Befektetési Zrt. will share their thoughts, reflections and experiences on the topic. The participants will be welcomed by Tamás Halm, Editor-in-Chief of the Economic Review and member of the HEA’s Board.
