Miklós Illésy and Ákos Huszár published a study in the February issue of Statistical Review entitled Technological development and the labour market: how does automation affect jobs in Hungary? To discuss the article, the Hungarian Economic Association’s Labour Section will organise an online professional event on Thursday, 31 March 2022, from 14:00 on Webex and on the HEA’s YouTube channel.
At the beginning of the event, the authors, Miklós Illésy and Ákos Huszár, researchers from the Social Sciences Research Centre of the Eötvös Loránd Research Network, will present the main findings of the study, followed by a round table discussion with Magdolna Csath, Professor at the National University of Public Service, member of the National Competitiveness Council and Ferenc Pongrácz, Managing Director for Innovation of the Tungsram Group and President of the IT Section of the HEA will share their thoughts on the topic. The moderator of the discussion will be György Boda, Associate Professor Emeritus of Corvinus Univesity, member of the Board of the Labour Section of HEA.
