Labour science messages from the quarantine – this is the title of a collection of the written reports of the professional lectures and conferences on labour and employment policy of the past two (pandemic) years, published by the Labour Section of the Hungarian Economic Association (MKT) and the Labour Review. The almost 120-page electronic publication contains summaries of some 30 online professional events organised by the Section or with the assistance of Section experts.

These online conferences covered topics such as the national and regional employment impact of the coronavirus epidemic, the rise of the home office, employment development, improving the labour market situation of young people and the challenges of measuring labour market processes.

Most of the summaries presented in this publication are much more substantial than simply documenting an event. These articles draw attention to the most interesting and controversial issues in the world of work, and provide a comprehensive picture of the thoughts and dilemmas that have occupied the experts of this profession during a very specific period, writes József Bagó, President of the Labour Section of the HEA in his foreword.

The publication, edited by Ferenc Munkácsy and József Bagó, can be downloaded in pdf format from the website of the Hungarian Economic Association, on tis link.
