Renewal of the Environmental Economics Section

Mária Csutora, Professor at the Corvinus University of Budapest, Director of the Research Centre for Sustainability Indicators, was elected President of the Environmental Economics Section of the Hungarian Economic Association. During the election, which was held online, the members elected Professor Sándor Kerekes, the former President of the Section, as Honorary President.

Gábor Harangozó, Associate Professor at the BCE, will serve as Secretary of the Section for the next three years. According to the decision of the voting members, the other board members of the Environmental Economics Section for the next three years are Eszter Tormáné Kovács, Associate Professor at the Hungarian University of Agricultural and Life Sciences; Zsófia Benedek, Senior Research Fellow at the Centre for Economic and Regional Research; and Mihály Dombi, Associate Professor at the University of Debrecen.

We congratulate the new members of the Presidium of the Environmental Economics Section on their election and wish them every success in their work.
