István Magyari-Beck, Professor Emeritus of the Corvinus University of Budapest, founding President of the Cultural Economics Section of the Hungarian Economic Society, Honorary President of our Cultural Economics and Demography Sections, passed away on 18 August 2022, at the age of 81.
István Magyari-Beck was laid to rest on 2 September at the St. Margaret of Árpád House Parish in Budapest-Pestszentlőrinci. On behalf of the MKT, József Benda, President of the Demography Section, said farewell at the funeral.
The memory of Professor Magyar-Beck will be fondly kept.
