For decades, there has been a debate about the long-term feasibility of achieving both economic growth and environmental improvement at the same time. To present the different views on the topic and discuss the prospects, the Environmental Economics Section of the the Hungarian Economic Association (HEA), and the Corvinus University of Budapest will organise a roundtable discussion with the title […growth] on Wednesday, 30 November 2022, from 17:30 at the BCE Corvinus Faculty Club (1093 Budapest, Fővám tér 8.).

Participants in the round table discussion: Gábor Bartus, Associate Professor at the Budapest University of Technology, Secretary of the National Council for Sustainable Development; Mária Csutora, Professor at the Corvinus University of Budapest, Chair of the Environmental Economics Section of the HEA; Judit Gébert, Associate Professor at the University of Szeged; Judit Kapás, Associate Professor at the Budapest University of Technology; Sándor Kerekes, Professor at the Corvinus University of Budapest, Honorary Chairman of the Environmental Economics Section of the HEA and Pál Péter Kolozsi, Director of the Central Bank’s Asset, Reserve and Risk Management Department at the Magyar Nemzeti Bank. The discussion will be moderated by Mihály Dombi, Associate Professor at the University of Debrecen, Member of the Board of the Environmental Economics Section of the HEA.
