With the participation of Zsombor Essősy, CEO of MAPI Zrt. and Vice President of the Development Policy Section of the Hungarian Economic Association (HEA), the Anti-Corruption Working Group of the Integrity Authority was established. The consultative body has 21 members, ten of whom were delegated by the public authorities in accordance with the law, and ten of whom were selected by tender from non-governmental actors, including NGOs.

The Integrity Authority, an autonomous public administration body, is responsible for investigating fraud, conflict of interest, corruption or other wrongdoing in the use of EU funds. In addition to its analytical and proposing tasks, the Integrity Authority also carries out official controls and investigative procedures and can initiate proceedings against other bodies.

Zsombor Essősy has more than two decades of experience in complex tender project management services, having advised numerous municipalities and economic operators on tendering. He has an excellent knowledge of the EU subsidies and tendering system, and regularly formulates and publishes his opinion and professional proposals to simplify the system e.g. public procurement and tender administration.

We are convinced that – in accordance with the provisions of the HEA Statutes – as a member of the Integrity Authority’s Anti-Corruption Working Group, Zsombor Essősy and through him the Hungarian Economic Association can help the Authority and legislators with valuable professional proposals.
