Measuring and analysing the competitiveness of Hungarian urban regions – this is the title of a study by László Szerb, Miklós Hornyák, Zsófia Krabatné Fehér and András Rideg in the February 2023 issue of the Economic Review. Related to this study, the Hungarian Economic Association (HEA) and the Economic Review will organise a joint online event on Wednesday, 1 March 2023, from 14:00 on Webex and on the HEA’s YouTube channel.
At the beginning of the event, the authors will present the main findings of the study, followed by a round table discussion in which Zoltán Póser, Deputy State Secretary of the Prime Minister’s Office responsible for the implementation of the Recovery Plan Europe, former Managing Director of EDC Debrecen City and Economic Development Centre and Péter Szaló, regional planner, former State Secretary and former President of the National Development Office will share their thoughts with the audience. The discussion will be moderated by Etele Baráth, former Minister for European Affairs, President of the Development Policy Section and member of the Presidium of the HEA.
