Stagflation risk by energy shortage – How to prevent and mitigate by policy solutions? – this will be the topic of the 5th Budapest Public Finance Seminar, organised by the National University of Public Service (NUPS), the Ministry of Finance and the Public Finance and Finance Sections of the Hungarian Economic Association (HEA) on Thursday 18 May 2023, 9.30 a.m. – 9.30 a.m. – at the Széchenyi Hall of the NUPS Ludovika Main Building (1082 Budapest, Ludovika tér 2.).

Among the speakers at the English-language conference will be Larry Randall Wray, Professor at Bard College; Jürgen Jerger, Professor at the University of Regensburg; Péter Kolozsi Pál, Director of the Magyar Nemzeti Bank, President of the Finance Section of the MKT; Zsolt Darvas, Senior Research Fellow at the Bruegel Institute and Gábor Kutasi, Head of the Institute for Economy and Competitiveness at the NKE, Member of the Board of the Public Finance Section of the HEA.
