The Hungarian Statistical Society (MST) celebrates its 100th anniversary with a festive conference and book launch on Monday, 26 June 2023, from 10 a.m. at the Keleti Károly Hall of the Central Statistical Office (1024 Budapest, Keleti Károly u. 5-7.).

The history of the MST and the Hungarian Economic Association (HEA) is intertwined in many ways: from 1960, the Hungarian Statistical Society operated as the Statistical Section of the HEA for three decades. At the centenary conference, Tamás Halm, former Secretary General of HEA and Editor-in-Chief of the Economic Review, will give a presentation on this period, and Miklós Lakatos, member of the Board of the Labour Section of HEA, will also be among the speakers.

The detailed conference programme can be downloaded here.

Participation in the event is subject to pre-registration due to the capacity of the room. The organisers kindly ask interested parties to register by 22 June 2023 at the latest using the form available at www.ksh.hu/kerdoivek/mst100/urlap.html. The organisers will send an e-mail confirmation of acceptance of applications by 23 June.
