20 years in the European Union – and the future… This is the title of the first closing conference of the Hungarian Economic Association’s conference series on the 20 years of Hungarian EU membership, to be held on Monday, 22 April 2024, from 1 pm at the Europa Pont conference room (1024 Budapest, Lövőház u. 35.).

The speakers of the first block of the conference will be János Bóka, Minister for European Union Affairs; János Martonyi, former Minister of Foreign Affairs and Gyula Pleschinger, member of the Monetary Council and President of the Hungarian Economic Association. Moderator: Etele Baráth, Former Minister for European Affairs, member of the HEA’s Board Bureau, President of the Development Policy Section. The participants will be welcomed by the Head of the European Commission Representation in Hungary.

The participants of the roundtable discussion following the introductory presentations are Tamás Kozák, Associate Professor of the Department of Commerce at the Budapest University of Economics, Secretary General of the National Trade Association, President of the Trade Section of the HEA; Miklós Kozma, MBA Programme Director of Corvinus University of Budapest, President of the Industry and Entrepreneurship Section of the HEA and Katalin Nagy, former Counsellor of the Permanent Representation of Hungary to the EU, Member of the Board of the Labour Section of the HEA. The discussion will be moderated by Dániel Szabó, EU affairs analyst at Portfolió.hu.
