A team of experts from the MNB – Péter Asztalos, Márk Donát Kiss, Nándor Marmoly and Ákos Szalai, led by György Szapáry, Senior Advisor to the Governor of the MNB and former Ambassador – recently prepared a study and discussion paper on a long-term, sustainable solution to the teacher shortage. The Hungarian Economic Association (HEA) organises a professional roundtable discussion to discuss this study on Wednesday, 3 July 2024, from 14:00 at the Lámfalussy Conference Room of the Magyar Nemzeti Bank (MNB), Krisztina körút 55, Budapest. We plan to broadcast the discussion live on the HEA’s YouTube channel.
In addition to György Szapáry, the participants of the roundtable discussion will be Csaba Csapodi, mathematician, Director of the Teacher Training Centre of ELTE and Magdolna Csath, PhD, former member of the National Competitiveness Council, Vice President of the Innovation Section of HEA. The discussion will be moderated by Gyula Pleschinger, President of the HEA and member of the Monetary Council.
