Labour market activity of mothers with young children

The Labour Section of the Hungarian Economic Association (HEA) will organise an online professional conference on the labour market activity of mothers with young children in cooperation with the Economic Review on Wednesday 19 March 2025, from 14:00 on Webex and on the YouTube channel of the Hungarian Economic Association. The event will be inspired by the study by Ágnes Szabó-Morvai and Djamila Vonnák published in the January 2025 issue of the Economic Review, entitled „The labour market situation of mothers with young children in the medium term in the post-epidemic period of the coronavirus epidemic”.

At the beginning of the event, the authors – Ágnes Szabó-Morvai, Senior Research Fellow at the Institute of Economics of the HUN-REN Research Centre for Economics and Regional Sciences, Adjunct Professor at the University of Debrecen and Dzsamila Vonnák, Research Fellow at the HUN-REN Research Centre for Economics and Regional Sciences – will present the main findings of the study. Invited speakers are: Luca Koltai, Senior Researcher at the Hétfa Research Institute (invited) and Ambrus Kiss, former Director of the Zala County and Regional Labour Centre. The moderator will be Györgyi Ignits, statistician and member of the Board of the Labour Section of the HEA. Tamás Halm, Editor-in-Chief of the Economic Review, will welcome the audience.
