The Hungarian Economic Association’s (HEA) Labour Section will organise an online conference on the labour market activity of retired people in cooperation with the Economic Review on Wednesday 19 February 2025, from 14:00 on Webex and on the HEA’s YouTube channel. The event will be inspired by the paper by Anna Bárdits, Anikó Bíró, Péter Elek and Judit Krekó entitled Labour Market Activity Beyond Retirement Age, to be published in the January 2025 issue of the Economic Review.
At the beginning of the event, Anikó Bíró, Senior Research Fellow at the Institute of Economics of the HUN-REN Research Centre for Economics and Regional Studies, will present the main findings of the study. The invited speakers are Péter Janovics, Head of Department of the Csongrád-Csanád County Government Office and László Kocsis, Head of Department of the Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg County Government Office (invited). Moderator: Annamária Artner, Professor at Milton Friedman University, Senior Research Fellow at the Institute of World Economics, HUN-REN KRTK, Member of the Board of the Labour Section of the HEA. Tamás Halm, Editor-in-Chief of the Economic Review, will welcome the audience.
