Employment policy at the turn of the millennium – this is the title of a book launch event organised by the Labour Section of the Hungarian Economic Association (HEA) in cooperation with the Labour Relations Subcommittee of the Scientific Committee on the Economics of Human Resources of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences on Thursday, 10 April 2025, from 2 pm at the HEA Community Room (ELTE ÁJK, 1053 Budapest, Kecskeméti u. 10-12, 4th floor 403) and on the HEA’s YouTube channel.
Gyula László, Professor Emeritus of the Faculty of Economics of the University of Pécs, will present his book entitled 30 years of Hungarian employment policy objectives and instruments: 1990-2020. Invited speakers are Imre Szilárd Szabó, Executive Vice President of the National Association of Labour Councils; Adrienn Bálint, Director for Employment and Social Affairs of the National Association of Employers and Industrialists; and Attila Sándor Kun, Professor at the Faculty of Law and Political Sciences of the Károli Gáspár Reformed University, Co-Chair of the Labour Relations Subcommittee of the Scientific Committee on the Economics of Human Resources of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. The event will be moderated by Gábor Mélypataki, Associate Professor at the University of Miskolc, Co-Chairman of the Labour Relations Sub-Committee of the European Economic and Social Committee. József Bagó, President of the Labour Section of the HEA will welcome the participants.
