Status report 2025: where does Hungary stand in the green transition? The Sustainability and the Finance Sections of the Hungarian Economic Association are organizing a professional event with this title on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at 2 p.m. in the HEA community space (ELTE ÁJK Building B, 1053 Budapest, Kecskeméti u. 10-12, IV. floor 403) and on the HEA’s YouTube channel.
At the beginning of the event, Bence Lukács, Deputy Head of the Department for Sustainable Finance at the Government Debt Management Agency Ltd. (ÁKK Zrt.), will present Hungary’s updated ESG profile, followed by Dávid Marczis, senior risk analyst at the Magyar Nemzeti Bank, who will present the main findings of the MNB’s financial report on climate change.
The participants in the roundtable discussion that follows will be: Pál Péter Kolozsi, Deputy CEO of ÁKK Zrt. and Chairman of the Financial Section of the HEA; Norbert Holczinger, Head of the Department for Sustainable Finance at the MNB; István Máté-Tóth, Deputy CEO of the Budapest Stock Exchange Ltd. and Ákos Veisz, Managing Director of BDO Hungary’s ESG Advisory business line. The discussion will be moderated by Richárd Végh, Senior Advisor to the Governor of the MNB and Chairman of the Sustainability Section of the HEA.
