Bendegúz Ruskal (ELTE Radnóti Miklós Secondary School) finished with a silver medal for placing between 11th–30th, while Ágoston Dudás (ELTE Trefort Ágoston Secondary School) earned a bronze medal for placing between 31st–50th at the International Final of the Economics Olympiad, held on Saturday in Olympia, Greece.
The prestige of the two-day international final is reflected in the fact that this year 127 students from 28 countries participated. The Economics Olympiad itself was organized in 29 countries this academic year, with a total of 120,000 high school students competing worldwide. Based on the combined results of the five-member teams, students from Canada and Vietnam achieved the best overall performance in the international final.
We congratulate all five Hungarian finalists—Ágoston, Bendegúz, as well as Domán Nacsa, Ábel Mosonyi, and Artúr Bitemo—for their outstanding participation!
