Eszterházy Károly Catholic University in Eger will host the 42nd National Meeting of Young Economists (FIKOT) on Friday, October 17, 2025. This year’s FIKOT will feature speakers exploring various aspects of innovation. The Youth Committee of the Hungarian Economic Association (MKT) invites economics students from all over the country to attend the conference in Eger. The event will be streamed live on the MKT’s YouTube channel.
The conference will take place in Building B of Eszterházy Károly Catholic University (3300 Eger, Egészségház Street 4), beginning with a plenary session at 10:00 AM on Friday, October 17. Speakers at the opening plenary session include: Ádám Csepeti, Deputy State Secretary for Strategic Affairs at the Prime Minister’s Office and Vice President of the Hungarian Economists’ Society in Romania; Magdolna Csath, University Professor and Vice President of the MKT’s Innovation Section; and Gyula Pleschinger, President of the Hungarian Economic Association and former member of the Monetary Council. Welcome speeches will be delivered by: Ilona Pajtókné Tari, Rector of Eszterházy Károly Catholic University; Hajnalka Csáfor, President of the Heves County Organization of the MKT and Vice Rector of EKKE; and Ádám Lengyel, President of the MKT Youth Committee.
From 2:00 PM, the program continues with three thematic panel discussions:
