Under the title Human Capital in the European Union, the Labour Section of the Hungarian Economic Association organized an online conference on Thursday, 5 February 2026. The introductory presentation was delivered by István Ábel, Professor at the Faculty of Finance and Accounting of the Budapest University of Economics and Business, and Orsolya Éva Tóth, Senior Lecturer at the same faculty.
Invited discussants included Magdolna Sass, Director of the Institute of World Economics at the Centre for Economic and Regional Studies of Eötvös Loránd University, and Gyula László, Professor Emeritus at the Faculty of Business and Economics of University of Pécs. The moderator was Emese Török, Head of Department and Associate Professor at Károli Gáspár University of the Reformed Church in Hungary.
