On the occasion of the national holiday, several officials of the Hungarian Economic Association received high state decorations.
Péter Szatmári, Deputy Rector for General Affairs and Development at Milton Friedman University, Associate Professor, and President of the Higher Education and Continuing Education Section of the Hungarian Economic Association, was awarded the Knight’s Cross of the Hungarian Order of Merit. The award recognizes his outstanding career in university teaching, his work presenting the history of Hungarian Jewry, his efforts to preserve and nurture Hungarian Jewish traditions and cultural values, as well as his multifaceted public engagement.
In recognition of her activities promoting the interests of the homeland and contributing to universal human values, Éva Bácsné Bába received the Knight’s Cross of the Hungarian Order of Merit (Civil Division). She is the Vice Dean for Strategy and Communications at the Faculty of Economics and Business of the University of Debrecen, Professor and Director of the Institute of Sports Economics and Management, and a board member of the Hajdú-Bihar County Organization of the Hungarian Economic Association.
