The Present and Future of the European Union’s Enlargement in the Western Balkans – this is the title of the upcoming professional roundtable discussion organized by the European Union Section of the Hungarian Economic Association (HEA), to be held on Thursday, April 30, 2026, from 1:00 PM, in the HEA community space (ELTE Faculty of Law, Building B, 1053 Budapest, Kecskeméti u. 10–12., 4th floor, room 403) and on the HEA YouTube channel.
Participants in the discussion: Péter Balázs, former Minister of Foreign Affairs, former European Commissioner, honorary member and former Vice President of HEA; Zsolt Becsey, associate professor, former Member of the European Parliament, Vice President of the HEA European Union Section; and Péter Mocsáry, ambassador, EU integration advisor to the Government of the Republic of Serbia. The discussion will be moderated by Gábor Iván, Director at the Council of the European Union and President of the HEA European Union Section.
