Dutch central banker on the ECB’s monetary policy

At the invitation of the Monetary Policy Section of the Hungarian Economic Association (HEA), Klaas Knot, former Governor (2011–2025) of the Dutch central bank, De Nederlandsche Bank, will give a lecture on the main challenges of the European Central Bank’s monetary policy between 2011 and 2025. The event will take place on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, starting at 9:50 a.m., in Lecture Hall III of the main building of Corvinus University of Budapest (Budapest, Fővám tér 8).

The professional event will be opened by Dániel Palotai, Deputy Governor of the Magyar Nemzeti Bank and Vice President of the HEA, and by Előd Takáts, Deputy Secretary General of the Committee on the Global Financial System (CGFS) at the Bank for International Settlements (BIS), Professor and Rector Emeritus of Corvinus University of Budapest, and President of the Monetary Policy Section of the HEA.
