For another three-year term, Péter Halmai, member of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences and professor at the National University of Public Service as well as the Budapest University of Technology and Economics, will continue to serve as president of the HEA’s Economic Policy and Economic Theory Section. In the recently concluded election, members of the section also renewed their confidence for another three years in the section’s secretary, Tihamér Laczkó, corporate credit analyst at OTP Bank Plc.
The composition of the section’s executive board remains unchanged as well. The members of the executive board of the HEA’s Economic Policy and Economic Theory Section are the following professionals: Éva Palócz, CEO of Kopint-Tárki Institute for Economic Research Ltd. and vice president of the HEA; Dóra Győrffy, professor at Corvinus University of Budapest and chair of the Economics Committee of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences; Ágnes Horváth, chief economist at MOL Plc.; István Kónya, dean responsible for the Corvinus Doctoral Schools at Corvinus University of Budapest and vice chair of the Economics Committee of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences; András Balatoni, director for economic analysis and forecasting at the Central Bank of Hungary; and Dávid Szebeni, founder and strategic director of Enrawell Consulting Ltd. and president of the Association for Settlement Development.
