Algorithms and Creators: On the Threshold of a New Cultural Paradigm – under this title, the Cultural Economics Section of the Hungarian Economic Association (HEA) will host a professional roundtable discussion on Monday, June 22, 2026, starting at 10:00 a.m. at the HEA Community Space (ELTE Faculty of Law, Building B, 1053 Budapest, Kecskeméti Street 10–12, 4th floor, Room 403) and on the HEA’s YouTube channel.
The participants in the discussion – Júlia Horváth, Founder and CEO of GAHSP Media & System; Balázs Nagy, CEO of NewPush and creator of Project NoéMI; and moderator Gyöngyi Major, Founding President of the Forum for Contemporary Women’s Reflections and Board Member of the HEA Cultural Economics Section – will explore questions such as how human intuition interacts with machine intelligence; what the classroom of the future will look like; how artificial intelligence may transform knowledge transfer; and what role humanism and visual culture will play in this new technology-driven world.
As the organizers note, the explosive rise of generative artificial intelligence is fundamentally rewriting the rules of the creative industries, the cultural economy, and education. Is AI merely an exceptionally powerful tool in the hands of human creators, or are we witnessing the dawn of an entirely new cultural era – a new aesthetic and social code? How can AI be integrated into organizational processes in a way that does not dehumanize but rather liberates creative energies?
The discussion will be streamed live on the HEA YouTube channel at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WSh7h9KEF44
In-person attendance is free of charge; however, due to limited seating capacity, prior registration is required. Interested participants are kindly requested to indicate their intention to attend as soon as possible by email at mkt@mkt.hu.
