Mihály Dombi, Senior Research Fellow at the Budapest University of Economics and Business, has been elected as the new Chair of the HEA Environmental Economics Section. During the online election of officers, voting members also elected a new Section Secretary: this position will be held by Zsófia Fekete-Frojimovics, Associate Professor at the Budapest University of Economics and Business, for the next three years.
Sándor Kerekes, Professor Emeritus at Corvinus University of Budapest, has been elected Honorary Chair of the Environmental Economics Section. Based on the decision of the voting members, the following experts have been elected to the Section’s Executive Board: Zsófia Benedek, Senior Research Fellow at the Centre for Regional Studies of the Eötvös Loránd Research Network (ELTE KRTK); Mária Csutora, Professor at Corvinus University of Budapest and the Section’s former President; Gábor Harangozó, Professor at Corvinus University of Budapest and the Section’s former Secretary; Eszter Tormáné Kovács, Professor at the Hungarian University of Agriculture and Life Sciences; and Gyula Zilahy, Professor at Corvinus University of Budapest.
