The Labour Section of the Hungarian Economic Association (HEA), in cooperation with the Labour Relations Subcommittee of the Scientific Committee on the Economics of Human Resources of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences and the Forum for the Cooperation of Trade Unions (SZEF), is organizing a professional event entitled “Pay Systems in Public Service” on Thursday, October 15, 2026, starting at 2:00 p.m. The event will be held at the HEA Community Space (ELTE Faculty of Law, Building B, 1053 Budapest, Kecskeméti út 10–12, 4th floor, Room 403) and streamed on the HEA YouTube channel. The event is prompted by SZEF’s publication entitled Pay Systems and Inequalities in the Public Service.
The introductory presentation will be delivered by Gábor Mélypataki, Associate Professor at the University of Miskolc and Co-Chair of the Labour Relations Subcommittee of the Scientific Committee on the Economics of Human Resources of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. The moderator will be László Herczog, former Minister of Social Affairs and Labour, researcher at Pénzügykutató Zrt., and member of the Presidium of the HEA Labour Relations Section.
