AI: A Blessing or a Curse? Under this title, the Innovation and Intellectual Capital Section of the Hungarian Economic Association (HEA) is organizing a professional roundtable discussion on Wednesday, 9 December 2026, at 2:00 p.m., at the HEA Community Space (ELTE Faculty of Law, Building B, 1053 Budapest, 10–12 Kecskeméti út, 4th floor, Room 403) and on the HEA YouTube channel.
The speakers at the event will be Magdolna Csath, university professor and president of the HEA’s Innovation and Intellectual Capital Section (The Role of Intellectual Capital in AI Success); Norbert Kis, university professor and head of department, and vice-president of the National Scientific Students’ Associations Council (Accelerating Intelligence. Lagging Wisdom? The Socio-Ethical Challenges of AI and the Dilemmas of Technology Governance); and Ferenc Pongrácz, Chief Operating Officer of E-Group and president of the HEA’s Information Technology Section (Are We Paying the Price of Dependency? What Can AI Bring to and Take Away from the National Economy?). The discussion will be moderated by Magdolna Csath.
