Attila Zöldréti, a lecturer at Milton Friedman University, NKE and MATE, and former President of the SAPARD Office, will serve as President of the Hungarian Economic Association’s (HEA) Section for Agriculture and Food Industry for another three years. During the election, which was held online and concluded at noon on 15 February, the voting members of the Section also elected new members of the Board.

The members of the HEA Section for Agriculture and Food Industry had one week to decide on the Section’s board by means of an online ballot. The members not only extended the term of office of the Section President Attila Zöldréti, but also voted for a new term of office for the Section Co-President, László Vajda, retired Chief of the Section at the Ministry of Agriculture; and for the Section Secretary, Endre Szelényi, Agricultural Engineer in Farm Management.

In addition, the voting members unanimously elected new members of the board. According to their decision, Levente Iványi, managing director of Pro-Duck Kft.; István Kapronczai, agricultural economist, retired director of the Agricultural Economics Research Institute,; Zsombor Páll, economic analyst of the Deputy State Secretariat for Agricultural Economy of the Ministry of Agriculture; László Rieger, agricultural economist; István Tresó, Managing Director of K&H Bank Zrt. and Gábor Udovecz, former Director General of the Agricultural Economic Research Institute will strengthen the board of the HEA’s Agricultural and Food Industry Section for the next three years.
